Pre-Course Assessments (ACLS/ PALS ONLY)
The American Heart Association requires all ACLS & PALS Course participants (including recertification courses) to complete the pre-course assessment PRIOR to the course date. Students will be assigned the pre-course assessment directly to the email they provided during their course registration. If you do not receive the link to your email, please call the office. DO NOT utilize pre-course assessments found on the internet as they will not be accepted- you MUST use the link provided by the UH Training Center.
All students MUST pass with a score of 80% or greater. Reattempts are unlimited.
PLEASE NOTE: Pre-Course assessments MUST be completed AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the class start time. If the pre-course assessment is not completed at that time, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE REMOVED FROM THE CLASS and will be charged the administrative fee. Even if the precourse assessment is completed after that time- YOU WILL STILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE CLASS.
UH and Rutgers employees are only eligible for renewal for 45 days prior to your expiration date (as noted above).
Employees of University Hospital and Rutgers are not eligible for “free” ACLS/PALS Provider courses when certification is current. (example, your current card is valid through the month you are taking a course, you are only eligible for a renewal program). Employees wishing to complete a two-day program can do so but are responsible for applicable employee rates, as listed on the website).
