The Neonatal Resuscitation Program is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care of the Neonate. The NRP course format requires learners to study the material from the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 6th Edition, and successfully complete an online examination prior to attending the classroom portion of the course. Within 45 days of completion of the online examination, learners attend an interactive course in which learners demonstrate mastery of resuscitation skills in supervised Integrated Skills Stations and in resuscitation scenarios which use simulation and debriefing as an integral element of the learning experience. This program is intended for physicians, nurses, midwives, respiratory therapists, and paramedics involved in critical care or transport of neonates.  You must have a valid HCP CPR card at time of class.
